St. Louis Dirt Burners is proud to announce the 2026 ProTek RC Midwest Nitro Challenge, taking place September 11–13, 2026! Get ready for one of the gnarliest and most competitive outdoor nitro racing events in the Midwest.

We’re thrilled to welcome back ProTek RC as our title sponsor for 2026 and excited to announce that world-famous announcer Mike Garrison will serve as our Race Director for the event.

Now celebrating our 25th anniversary of the Midwest Nitro Challenge, this legendary race continues to bring together top-level competition, unforgettable racing, and an unmatched atmosphere. Come test your skills against the best—or kick back and enjoy great racing, good times, and hanging out with friends.

  • Qualifying Starts (2 Rounds, 7.5 Minutes Each): 10 AM

• 30 Minute Expert 1/8 Nitro Buggy A-main, 20 Minute Sportsman/40+/Open Nitro A-mains.
• Single 8 minute electric A-mains.
• Plenty of track time is offered for all racers.
• RV and trailer parking are both available; camping is permitted. No RV or trailer hook ups are available.
• Affordable hotels and entry fees.
